The Union of Salaried Postal Employees (formerly Postal Officials Union) merged in May-June 2005 with the Postal Union, which in 2006 has its centenary, to form the Postal and Logistics Union PAU. The PAU is the Finland Post Corporation's largest organisation for employees. The Icebreakers stamp booklet depicts the Finstaship icebreakers Urho, Otso, Fennica and Botnica. The ships represent the last three generations of Finnish icebreakers. The Universal Postal Union celebrates its 125th anniversary in 1999. Peter Bergström designed a stamp picturing the Aland airmail of today. The mail conveyances by air to Aland started in 1929. In my childhood I was happy with my collection of The Netherlands for years. My eldest stamp was the 5 cent of the second emission (1864). Later, when I am grown-up and earn a living, I will buy the first Dutch stamps and have a complete set, were my thoughts at that time. In those days I did not realise that more costly stamps existed. How plder the stamps the more expensive they were I thought, for years. I could not afford a catalogue.
